We just love old photos of snow drifted houses! Maybe because at one time or another we've all taken photos like these. You run outside and snap a shot of your home at it's prettiest. A lot of times on these old photos there will be an inscription on back like this: first snowfall 1953. We LOVE that! Well, we acquired a handful of these snowy snapshots at a local fleamarket and just had to make them the focal point of some new holiday artwork. This is a multi-media collage piece that combines some great patterned papers, vintage sheet music, a print of our own handpainted bottle brush tree, and of course a vintage photo. It's mounted on 1/4" thin oak and hangs by vintage seam binding. At the upper left corner of the photo are some silk leaves and two mini jingle bells adorned with mica flakes. Overall this is a VERY glittery piece (just letting you know in case the photos don't show it!)complete with a crepe paper ruffle and silver sequin trim. It measures 6" x 9". A fabulous little gift of nostalgia! signed and dated.
