Springtime Collage Birdhouse
A little house for our little song bird. We originally designed these as Mother's day gifts for our moms and since then we've had about a million requests to make some for sale. We really liked doing these for our moms but for some reason we held off on doing them for everyone else...maybe we wanted our moms to have exclusives! :) But now we're ready to offer them up for you...we think our moms would be more than happy to share. We start with a wooden birdhouse and decorate them to the hilt with our favorite patterned papers (some patterns are our original paintings) and sheet music clippings from the apropos "A Little Bird Told Me". The little birdie on front is a hand cut print of our original painting and the branch he sits upon as well as the blossoms are totally handpainted by us on each birdhouse. As for the patterns and the painting, we stuck with our favorite spring time color palette...lots of pale pinks, turquoise, pale aqua and honeycomb tan. In the photo there are three birdhouses...the rectangle shape is no longer available. This description is for the circular shaped house. It measures approximately 8 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The house is sealed for protection but we do no recommend it for use out in the elements because rain and sun have been known to be formidable foes of paint and paper. Great indoor shelf sitters...Aaron's mom hung hers with an eye hook and it looks fab! Signed and dated Chose from Pink (on left in photo) or Aqua (on right in photo).
